Become an Ambassador
Use Your Voice. Raise Awareness. Help Make a Difference.
Sometimes, one conversation can make a lasting difference.
At National MSA Research, we believe that greater awareness of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) begins with people who are willing to share information, connect communities and encourage others to learn more.
Our Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for suitable individuals to support our charitable mission through approved awareness, community engagement and fundraising activities.
Whether you have a personal connection to MSA or simply believe in the importance of our work, we welcome enquiries from people interested in helping us make this rare neurological condition better understood.
What Is a National MSA Research Ambassador?
An Ambassador is a person appointed to help promote awareness of Multiple System Atrophy and support the objectives of National MSA Research.
Ambassadors may contribute by sharing approved information, participating in community activities, supporting campaigns and helping us connect with new audiences.
Each appointment has an agreed scope of responsibilities.
Being an Ambassador is different from being a Director or an authorised organisational spokesperson. Ambassadors undertake only the activities they have been approved to perform.
Why Become an Ambassador?
Multiple System Atrophy is a rare, progressive neurological condition that affects many aspects of everyday life.
Many people are unfamiliar with MSA until they or someone close to them receives a diagnosis.
Increasing awareness is an important part of our mission.
By becoming an Ambassador, you may have opportunities to:
- Help more people understand Multiple System Atrophy.
- Share accurate, approved information about MSA.
- Encourage participation in awareness initiatives.
- Support appropriate community events and fundraising campaigns.
- Connect individuals and organisations with National MSA Research.
- Contribute towards a growing community united by a shared purpose.
Every appropriate opportunity to raise awareness can help bring greater attention to MSA.
Who Can Become an Ambassador?
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who support the mission and values of National MSA Research.
You may have personal experience of MSA through a family member or friend, professional experience in community engagement or simply a strong commitment to raising awareness.
We value integrity, empathy, respect and a willingness to work collaboratively.
Previous experience in public speaking or charity representation may be helpful for some activities, but is not necessarily required for every Ambassador role.
All appointments are subject to organisational review and approval.
What Might an Ambassador Do?
Ambassador activities will depend on the person’s interests, experience, agreed responsibilities and the needs of National MSA Research.
Possible activities may include:
Raising Awareness
Sharing approved information about Multiple System Atrophy and helping others understand the importance of awareness and scientific research.
Community Engagement
Participating in authorised community activities, awareness events or conversations that help introduce our mission to new audiences.
Supporting Campaigns
Helping promote approved fundraising or awareness campaigns through appropriate communication channels.
Attending Events
Where suitable, representing National MSA Research at approved events or community activities.
Sharing Personal Experiences
Some Ambassadors may choose to share their own experiences of MSA to help others understand the impact of the condition.
Sharing a personal or family story is entirely voluntary. Appropriate consent and approval are important, particularly when information concerns another person.
Our Expectations
Ambassadors are expected to represent National MSA Research respectfully, accurately and professionally.
This includes following applicable organisational policies, protecting confidential information and using approved materials.
Ambassadors must obtain appropriate authorisation before organising fundraising activities, making public commitments, approaching potential partners on behalf of the organisation or speaking as an official representative.
The role does not provide automatic authority to enter agreements, commit funds or give medical advice on behalf of National MSA Research.
Is the Ambassador Role Paid?
National MSA Research Ambassador appointments are voluntary and unpaid.
The scope, expected commitment and practical arrangements will be discussed as part of the appointment process.
Expenses must not be incurred on behalf of National MSA Research without prior approval.

Help Us Raise Awareness
National MSA Research was founded in October 2024 following the loss of Adrian Klep to Multiple System Atrophy.
His family’s experience inspired a commitment to helping others understand the condition and encouraging progress towards better diagnosis, more effective treatments and ultimately a cure.
We know that greater awareness cannot be achieved by one organisation working alone.
It requires people willing to start conversations, share reliable information and bring communities together.
Your Voice Can Help Make MSA Better Understood.
